Finally the realization that most beautiful pleasures are free. Its a beautiful sunny day in the midlands england and i am sitting in a country pub, its about 18 degrees and the breeze is neither cool nor warm but the sun is strong and people just like me are sitting outside with their drink or book or nothing. I am writing on my laptop and all i can think off is how the most beautiful pleasures of life are free. The sun, the trees, the chirping of the birds, the breeze, the fragrance from the flowers, the sound of the stream nearby, the sight of the shapes and colours of the flowers, the never-ending blanket of the blue sky, etc etc. Realizing how we even forget they exist but how they increase our well being.
Moving from nature to man made simple pleasures that don’t ring a bell but they quietly make it all. The steam from a hot cup of tea and the smell from the brewed tea after a tiring day might get lost in the magnitude of things but they are what make the moment wonderful and relax our senses. The comfort of our bed on a cold day doesn’t stand in the highlight but it is the back reel that makes it possible.
Gratefulness for things like these is my prime emotion at the mo. If you follow me on instagram and see my stories you know how i have been talking about simplicity and the beauty of these simple pleasures. It has brought so much peace into my being, i am almost at no rush of anything becoming more thankful each day for these wonders of joy and content with all that has been bestowed on me. More on that in the next post.
Would love to know your thoughts on the pleasures of life.

Not much into colour well no problem here is an outfit that is all black yet super fun for summer aka a winning all black summer outfit. Although here i am wearing a black shirt dress this look will work just as well with any neutral colour. The trick with wearing all black in the spring summer is in the accessories and the fabric and fit of the outfit. And to keep the look still classy focus on the shoes and bags, choosing more classy styles. Metallics are great option for shoes and a timeless classic bag is the way to go. I am leaving links down below to all the many posts i have written on how to nail a black outfit. So you can check those for more styling tips.
What i wore - Dress, shoes - Zara, Bag - Gucci , Earrings - Accessorize
I wore this outfit last week to meet a dear friend for a hop around some pretty spots around london. The flower decorations in London around this time of the year are just amazzzz and these pictures were taken at Sanderson London with the prettiest swing ever.

Paper bag waist is the in thing at the moment and i always love khaki, i think i have said in the past that i almost treat it as a neutral so when the two met it was love at first sight for me. No second thoughts and these trousers were bought. I wore them to spin around london town a few weeks back soaking in the flower decorations with a girlfriend. We first brunched at Dalloway terrace which i totally recommend for the ambience and photo opportunities and then just went around central London.
I wore the khaki trousers with white top, red socks and white converse. My outfit was a total match with the colours of the flower swing decoration at covent garden, hehe!
Although i hadn't thought of wearing the khaki with white i was quite surprised at how good it looked with white. Does that happen to you colours you didn't think will work together actually turn out to be stunning.
I am planning to take some beautiful flower photos around Central London today. Fingers crossed!

Finding the right dress is an
arduous task which leaves even the most patient of people frustrated and
wanting to scream at the top of their lungs. No matter what you look at
in-store, there is almost always something about it which just isn’t quite
right. It’s either too long or too short, some don’t fit the body shape, and
the others are just plain ugly. The quest for the perfect everyday summer dress
is something which stumps even the savvy of shoppers each year, but it doesn’t
need to be so difficult!
When you do eventually find
something which ticks all of the boxes in terms of size, shape, and style, you
find out that it’s either far too expensive for you or that it’s not very
summer-friendly (who wants to thick non breathable fabrics in summer?!).
As mentioned in my post on why moving is genius for your wardrobe, i do need some summer dresses in my wardrobe so i have been looking and hence this post. Sharing my thoughts and tips on how to find the perfect summer dress so you avoid some of the frustration which comes with it.
1. Things to Consider
Fabric – the most obvious factor when picking a summer dress is its fabric.
You want to pick something which is light, will keep you cool, and will feel
nice against your skin in the hot weather. Light cotton is always a good shout,
but there are any other fabrics which are just as good. Also, ensure that it is
a fabricwhich can easily be washed (unless you don’t care about dry cleaning) and
that doesn’t wrinkle too easily.
Comfort – in summer, comfort is key. Choose a dress which you are going to
love to wear, which will both be physically comfortable and something you feel
comfortable wearing. Consider how often your dress may require adjusting or how
hard it will be to get on. If there are straps as far as the eye can see,
perhaps it’s not your best bet.
Pattern & Colour – finally, pick a pattern which looks light and airy, and which you
like. It is summer, after all. Get a dress which isn’t too bold and won’t make
people stare for all the wrong reasons. In summer, subtle patterns and light colours work best. Light colours do not absorb heat as much as darker colours,
helping you to stay cooler for longer. Colours which can easily be paired with
neutral colours are always a great shout, too.
2. Where to Buy
Thanks to the internet, you are no longer restricted to buying from
your local stores – great news for those of you who live miles away from human
civilisation! There are so many websites where you can pick up clothes now, and
it’s not only big companies which are your only choice.
With the advent of eCommerce and platforms such as Shopify, designers and creative people
from all over the world are designing and selling their wares online, which are
often much cheaper and of a much higher quality than many contemporary name
brands. There’s no shame in buying second-hand, either – there is many a gem to
be found on websites such as eBay, where fashion-conscious women from all over
the world sell their pre-loved garments.
If you shiver at the idea of wearing another lady’s used clothes, websites
such as Asos, Topshop, River Island are much-loved internet brands which stock a huge line of
high-quality clothing at competitive prices. There are a lot of summer dresses options out there, such as this 2018 summer dress collection, and you are sure to find something here, if nowhere else! Where to buy is largely a question
you need to ask yourself, as it really depends on you as an individual, what
you like to wear, and where you like your clothes to come from.
3. Get Something Built to Last
The saying goes that if you buy cheap, you buy twice. I am not telling you to go out and drop hundreds of pounds on a new dress (although, some of you don’t need to be told to do that…), but by being switched on and conscious about where you are buying your dress from, you can get something which will last for many summers to come.
If you take proper care of a
good-quality dress, there is no reason why it isn’t one that can feature in
your wardrobe for the next five-to-ten years. Again, this really depends on the
individual: some of us don’t like to wear the same dress more than a few times
before retiring it to the nearest charity shop or getting rid of it online.
At last i would just say although buying a summer dress
can be so sometimes difficult, it’s obviously not rocket science, and it is not something which you
should be over-complicating either. Opt for simple, light and stylish garments that
are of a decent quality and you will have yourself a dress which will stand the
test of time and leave you turning heads all summer long.

I am relieved because i no longer run for a particular schedule but i cater to my own flow. Its self help. That said, I dont think i have talked here on the blog about my daily schedule. I don’t have a 9-5 or fixed time job and courtsey travels and priorities in personal life my schedule has been quite eratic for the last year or so. Today i wake up not before 9 am and then the day flows. There are also days where i haven’t got anything done by 12 pm because i have woken at 11.55 am whereas most of the world is done with half their daily chores. Was i upset with such a schedule, well yes i was. Upset i think is a lesser word to describe my state. I tried to change i tried quite hard to get to the worlds schedule of waking up between 6-8, meditate or excerice then get ready and have breakfast before 9 then work then lunch between 12-2 and so on and on. I did succeed a few days but it didn’t become my schedule because my lifestyle is different my priorities are different. Reality is everyone’s home life, and work situation is unique, even though for some the schedules go with the so called general its not literally the same for anyone. Being unhappy with it not being one with the worlds standard neither helped me change it nor did favours to my well being. Till i accepted its ok, to have a different flow. Whatever that is. Whether you want to work out at 8 am or 8pm its fine. whether you write at 12 am or 12 pm its fine. Some people are morning people and some night. Not everybodys productivity peaks in the am. Not everybody’s life priorities lets them peak in the am. And resenting/ not catering to that requirement of natural flow does nothing. So why not go with the natural flow of whats happening in your life instead of fighting it. By doing so things are easier and less stressful. Ignoring the proper times for certain tasks, and instead, doing them at a time that feels good to us is also a method to live well. A secret actually.
Its 3.04 am on the dot as i finish writing this post, it doesn’t bother me that its almost morning and that i should have instead written the post at 3.04 pm during the day. I feel strongly about the uniqueness of every individual and their lives and accepting that and this post is a small introduction to it. More coming up, till then cater to your flow its therapeutic.

The slides are easily the comfiest shoe and also the trendiest shoe for spring summer 2018. I see all the fashion girls living in it needless to say instagram is full of slides paired with everything. Newer and fresher styles keep coming and although i have a few can’t resist browsing online for a pair or two. So i did and here are a few that i liked. But before that a bit on styling. Well its super easy. In general slides add a relaxed cool land lazy vibe to a look. They cut the feminity but can be chic depending on the style. Perfect for both city and beach looks they are literally a lazy girls dream. Pair them with the trending straw bags and you are a summer 2018 perfection.
