Hey everyone!
Nature has played a vital role in the creative expression of mankind. The land, water, animals, trees, sky we see around us are a part of our subconscious, they reflect in our art and so become a part of our culture and identity. I am deeply inspired by nature and i need a lot of it in my life to maintain my balance. And that explains my love for Good Earth, an everyday luxury Indian brand with a design aesthetic inspired by nature and indian heritage.
Good earth collaborated with Rohit Bal, pioneers of indian fashion, for a capsule collection called Husn-e-Taairaat meaning beauty of a bird. The collection consists of home, decor and apparel and is a beautiful ode to birds and flowers with the flamboyance of mughal and persian architecture.
I had the opportunity to attend the collection launch organized by LBB. The whole decor and setup did full justice to the mood of the collection and trust me guys if i had the money i would have taken everything home!!!!!!!!
You can shop the collection is stores as well as online.
Yummies at the launch
And this is what i wore to the event, slip dress from last year (removed the fringes for 2016) over ruffled jumper (so good for layering) with my fuzzy slides and fishnet socks. Super trendy and fresh outfit with the pieces existing in my wardrobe just worn differently!
I am seriously obsessing over these fishnet socks, can't wait to style them more and these mules i never want to take off!

Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone!
Socks are an essential item for the colder weather but they are also a style statement irrespective of the weather so here is some info on styling with socks:
1. wearing socks with heels is a trend, yes u heard it right and if this is the first time u r hearing, u r late just like me!!!
2. some of the in socks are the quirky printed ones, mesh, fishnet, lace details and of course black and midnight blue.
3. wear fishnet socks with ur loafers for a sexy cool vibe.
4. mid calf length socks are great with midi skirts showing just a sliver of skin
5. make the socks a statement by pairing a quirky one with a neutral outfit
6. if u dont want attention on the bottom part of ur outfit keep ur socks in dark color and solid.
7. pairing black socks with black shoes elongates the leg.
8. make a long sock cool by scrunching around the ankles.
With socks weather here now and the coming days going to be a lot gloomy, thank god we have happy socks to keep our feet happy and our mood cheerful with their fun prints. To tell u honestly i have not been into printed quirky socks but after looking at happy socks collection, i am a convert and i want each and every pair on their site!!!!
Happy socks have retail stores in almost all big cities, if not they deliver worldwide from their online shop.

Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Party season for me starts around diwali and goes well till the first week of januray. That is a good stretch of more than 2 months and one of my top essentials for this time of the year is a sequin number. Its definitely the item that catches everyones eyes at parties and i strongly suggest you get a sequin piece for those dressier parties. Having said that i wouldn’t want to have something hang in my closet the whole year and just come out 2-3 times so i decided to style my stunning bodycon dress from NUE for a casual day.
here are a few ways you can make those sequin pieces work for casual occasions
- Change your shoes to casuals like sneakers or flats.
- Wear casual accessories like a casual velvet choker or a chunky belt.
- If styling a top, wear with ripped jeans, boyfriend jeans, shorts in the summer time or culottes.
- if styling a sequin skirt wear with a graphic tee or sweatshirt, denim jacket or casual sweater.
- a sequin blazer looks great paired with a plain tee and ripped jeans.
- if styling a bodycon dress layer a full skirt on top.
NUE by Shani is a revolutionary line of flirty dresses with in built compression fabric that is specially woven with spun lycra that shapes and moulds the body, giving the wearer an appearance of a size smaller and allowing her to celebrate her body. Shani, the designer takes the timeless pursuit of enhancing the female shape through tailoring tricks like rusching, darting etc NUE dresses are luxurious and suited to the many roles of modern women and it definitely gave shape to my body without any discomfort. On this day i went out for lunch after the shoot and was quite comfortable throughout.

Hey everyone!
Todays post is about travel. To tell you honestly i love travelling as much as i love fashion and hair and i am looking forward to creating more travel posts on the blog. To begin with i thought of sharing my top 6 reasons to travel.
1. To know myself- i have learnt so much about myself through travelling, its not even funny, i almost think i dint know myself before. In a foreign environment you are faced with different situations and people so dealing with them you get to test yourself and know your strengths and weaknesses.
2. To create memories- Life is all about memories the food we eat, the nature we experience, the streets we walk on, the people we meet and travelling is the best opportunity to do all that.
3. To experience different cultures- before i started travelling i always thought of my culture to be very different and probably the best but through traveling i now know how similar we are as a result of which i am more accepting and open to the world.
4. To be free- Travel has transformed me into a free and independent person. I no more have the mindset of being bound to a place or society or situation or money i feel in charge of my life and if something bugs me i feel i can just go.
5. To become a storyteller- I look forward to sharing travel experiences with my friends and family. Narrating that surreal star lit night in Ladakh on a motor bike or that windy day that could have blown me away in wales, it helps me become a story teller which i absolutely enjoy.
6. To learn Fashion- There is so much learning through travelling but being a fashion lover i most look forward to the fashion in different parts of our world. My personal style evolves every time i visit a new place and is the product of my travels.
London and Paris are my most loved cities in the world and i am in love with how alex foster has illustrated the two cities here. Alex foster is an award winning illustrator specializing in city maps, check his online shop for more awesomeness!!
Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone!
Closet full of clothes and nothing to wear or maybe the closet is not full but you get what i am trying to say, you have nothing to wear doesn’t feel good right! now add to it the pressure of attending a big event like fashion week. This was my situation when i last minute decided to attend the india fashion week in delhi. I think i was just stupid to not plan for it. Should not even start about that as i still feel like slapping myself!!!!
Basically i had no outfit so the only option left was to use my styling sense to come up with a fashion week worthy outfit with pieces existing in my wardrobe. Layering is the first word that comes to my mind when thinking of fresh outfits with existing pieces. And matching sets had saved me many a times in the past so i thought of this black one which is probably 3 years old and put this black embroidery skirt from this summer on top and voila i had my outfit. The pieces were old but the outfit was totally fresh and forward for autumn 2016.
So here are a few points to help u when u have nothing to wear i.e when u need a fresh outfit from your existing wardrobe (not how to have nothing to wear i.e items that should be in your wardrobe so you are not stuck with nothing to wear, which i will talk about in another post.)
- Think of layering like in todays outfit, or adding a vest on top of ur off shoulder top, etc. Spring, autumn and winter u can really use this technique to come up with multitude diff outfits.
- Think of unusual pairings like a wrap dress with a pencil skirt
- Wear with diff accessories like something u have been wearing with minimal jewelry , wear it with statement clutch or earrings
- Combine different moods like embroidery with clean cuts.
- Change your footwear like your ultra feminine pleated midi that you have worn with heels and sleek shoes now wear with edgy boots.
- Create a pinterest board of outfits that involve the pieces or similar pieces that you have in your wardrobe. So whenever you come across any outfit that u like or find fresh on blogs, fashion websites, instagram, google search or pinterest just pin it to that board and refer to it whenever you are stuck.
I am totally in love with this super easy braided half updo. Looks great on long hair and if u too want to achieve that clip in hair extensions and tape in hair extensions from omgnb are great.
Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.
