How to keep warm at home

I definitely do not like to be cold no matter how much i love winter, why do i even say that who likes to be cold???  and all the artificial heating in the house makes my skin and body very dry so here are a few things i follow that help me keep warm so i can keep the artificial heating as low as possible:
  1. Wearing a great pair of slippers - Being at home means being toasty and a warm feet keeps the whole body warm. Don’t you all agree, you can get away with not wearing one in the summers but its literally impossible to not wear slippers in the cold months. I wear slippers throughout the year, a diff one in summer of course and for winters i love the sheepskin ones from morlands, got a leopard print one this year and it is literally the most luxurious, softest, warmest and super stylish thing i have slid my foot onto. I couldn’t be happier about the print, the fur detail and the slight heel. And If the sole was hard i would have worn it out, seriously!!!!! Morlands are the leaders in the industry with a unique heritage spanning over 150 years they believe in providing quality and quite luxury with great attention to detail, quality customer service, understated style and craftsmanship. I vouch for the quality and think of them as an investment.

2.  Layering- Its not just for when you are out of the house, layering is important in cold weather even at home. So instead of just wearing a thick jumper wear a full sleeve t with a thin or thick knit on top. The science is- the air that gets trapped in the layers of clothes acts as insulation against the cold so multiple layers of clothes mean multiple layers of insulation so its always better to wear 2 to 3 layers, layering is not just for fashion!!!!!

3. Cotton- Sounds strange but i have tried and tested cotton in less than freezing temps and it has delivered. Make the first layer u put on your body a cotton t and it will keep you cosy and comfortable.

4. Eating nuts- Nuts keep your body warm from the inside and also are a great source of good oils for lubrication, so it is a good idea to snack on nuts instead of those crisps and chips.

5. Spices like cloves and black pepper- Its not really possible to eat them as it is and if you find how to add them to your recipes difficult a great and easy way is to boil water with few cloves and black peppers and sip onto it throughout the day.

6. Lighting candles and comforting aromatics in the house to make the house feeling cosy.

7. Mind- Our mind is our strength and my mom always tells me if i think too much about cold and how cold it is i will definitely feel a lot cold compared to if i don’t think about it.

  4. I love wearing slippers and tons of layers when I get cold. I find that way easier than to have on a bulky sweater or coat. It's gotten so cold here these past couple weeks, I definitely need to stay warm! Those chocolates look delicious!

I love winter as well, because I'm always so cold and then it feels so good to get warm using one of those advices (I'm actually a master in making myself warm and knew about all those tricks). I'm going to add one tho : stick to my boyfriend, he's my best heater :)

I didn't know that nuts keep you warm, very interesting! Thanks so much sharing and I hope you're having a great week so far!
