Hey everyone
It was Day 2 of london fashion week, no the sun dint come out in the morning but it wasn’t that bad. I was totally feeling a more polished and edgy but still effortless look.
As you know my style is very relaxed and fashion week or any day is basically that but for fashion week i love to combine statement, eye catching pieces yet keeping the look effortless and easy, a sure shot way to do that as i also mentioned in this post is to go for monochrome. And that is exactly what i did styled this stunning blue Statement jacket from my favourite brand East with other blue pieces and topped with gold booties.
This jacket is really a standout one and being blue its really not difficult to style!
The gold booties added a lot of polish to the look.
What i wore- Jacket- East, Jeans- ASOS, Boots- River island, Bag- VVA, Fur collar- ASOS, Socks- Happy socks
Guys the jacket might not look warm but it is quite cosy and with the fur collar on top i was very cosy. The print and design are very Indian and mixing up with the booties, fur and step hem denim made for a very interesting and chic look. I am thinking it will be very handy during spring!! It did get me many compliments, people asked to take pictures so yes i was very happy with the look.
I was only able to attend on day 1 and 2. DAY 2 just the first half as my grand mom passed away and i had to urgently come to India, yes thats life!!!!! The most unexpected and unreal but it is what it is!!!!
Hope you liked the look, thank you for stopping by, see you in my next one.

Hey everyone!
Understanding languages and cultures builds bridges and through it we see the similarities before differences, i read this somewhere and couldn’t agree more!
To learn about cultures my first recommendation will definitely be India and after having seen it at quite a satisfactory length i am excited about quite a few other countries, the top 4 being Japan, Mexico, China and Israel. I really hope i will be able to visit all 4 within this year and next, to start with i have done some research on China and here are a few facts i found out:
- Visa- Totally depends on the home country. For most its just a day affair, give your passport in the morning and get it by day end. Make sure you get a multi entry visa to mainland china just incase you also plan to go to Hong Kong.
- Time Zones- Its such a huge country but there is only one time zone for the whole of China.
- Water- Tap water is not safe to drink so make sure you drink from sealed water bottle.
- Language can be a problem so its better to bring a language translate guide book or figure out an app or site that can translate and works in china because not all sites work there.
- Toilet paper- The toilets usually do not have toilet paper so its better to bring yours.
- Currency- Be very careful of counterfeit notes.
- Majority of shops and restaurants only accept payment in cash so make sure you have physical cash.
- Be ready to get surprised with the chinese food as it only slightly resembles the chinese food we are used to eat.
- Beijing is great to see old traditions, Shanghai for modern china, Yunan province for nature lovers and of course the great wall of china.
- You don’t have to tip in China.
- Bring hand soap and sanitizer.
- Most of your social media like Instagram, Facebook etc are not legally allowed for use by the government. To access them you need to get a VPN
- Its better to write down the name of your hotel or destination in chinese to show to the taxi driver as language is a big problem.
- Its better to make a full travel itinerary or go for guided tours specially if you are travelling solo or travelling for the first time. I recently came across The China Travel Company that can handle your travel arrangements and advise you everything you need to know.
- Shopping is very cheap so be careful as you might get carried away and make your luggage much heavier than the permitted limit by the airline.
A cousin went to China a few years ago and some of the points above are from his personal experience. I really hope these few facts are helpful. Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone
I woke up on day 1 and as i was catching up on my social media the sun came out and i couldn't have been happier, Lfw literally couldn't have started on a better day, the weather was a dream. Now like a greedy person i wish it lasts throughout the event. Ok now to the outfit, i just kept it relaxed, a mix of different elements, totally my style, wearing my favourite pieces and a show stopping piece aka my fur handbag.
Adding feminine touches to my wide leg trousers as mentioned in the fashion week prep post with the ruffled blouse and earrings and relaxing it with the white slip on shoes. Matching the pinstripe trouser with the pinstripe blazer brought the look together. The talk of the look was my hand warmer fur bag from my favourite brand VVA. Its very spacious, could fit in all my essentials, phone, power bank, wallet, tickets, LFW pass, lip balm, lipstick, business card, phewwwww and still had space left!!
It also has the added feature to slide your hand inside incase of cold. Really a marvel!!!
What i wore- Bag- VVA, Trousers- ASOS, blouse- Boohoo, Blazer- River Island, Earrings- similar
Scrunched up the sleeves of the blazer to expose the ruffles on the blouse for the perfect street style look.
Everything i am wearing is available so you can click on and shop!!!!
Tell me what you think of the look! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone!
I had another post planned for today but while deleting pictures from my phone yesterday, i saw these pictures from a shopping day out and thought it will be great to share a few tips on what to wear on a shopping day.
A little disclaimer, these are just casual pictures taken on my iPhone as i had no intention of posting them on the blog. But i thought of keeping it real and sharing a real outfit situation considering the topic of the post.
Getting dressed for shopping can be tricky as we want to look good but have to be really practical with the whole situation so here are a few easy tips to follow to keep you comfortable so you can focus on shopping
- Footwear- Wear your comfiest pair of shoes, ok if they are not fancy enough atleast go for a lived in pair. Also a good tip is to choose a pair that is easy to wear and take off in case you want to try new pair of shoes. If your feet are comfy your body will be much more relaxed.
- Hair - Its much better to keep your hair off your face in a braid or pony tail so you are not distracted, i think this is a good tip for girls with long hair.
- Makeup- Natural makeup look is good but you can wear whatever just make sure it does not transfer to the clothes you try, specially wearing a smudge transfer proof lipstick is better.
- Outfit- Easy to wear outfits that are not very tight or constraining. Also do keep the weather in mind, whether you are going to a mall or market.
- Refreshment- We usually think we will be in the mall or market with so many eating options but sometimes we get so busy that we just can’t stop for food so its better to keep a fruit or an energy bar, a small bottle of water to refresh on the go.
What i wore- Denim- ASOS, Scarf- ASOS, Shoes- Finery, sleeveless puffer jacket- ASOS, Socks- Happy socks
This is one of my go to winter outfits for any casual day like this one, denim+ knit+ sleeveless puffer jacket+ statement blanket scarf+ white shoes.
I hope this post was helpful. Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next.

Hey everyone!
New York fashion week is in full swing and London, Milan and Paris coming up. As the fashion month starts i start visualizing outfits, do you do that too? Whether attending or no there is this excitement about fashion, street style and in general an inquisitiveness about whats coming up. My favourite is the street style. It inspires me beyond words. Having mentioned about the 4 major fashion weeks above i am awe struck by the street style at the Stockholm fashion week, season after season the scandinavian fashion and street style is leaving me speechless.
I am prepping to attend the LFW a/w 17 and here are a few pieces that i think i will be wearing 90%. I shared my favs for the last season as well but a few pieces did not come together as i had thought, so this time having learnt from last season, been more practical yet fashion week worthy, hoping they all will work but still calling a 90% as rest 10% will really depend on the day and my mood. The street style in Stockholm has been a major inspiration and of course London, Paris and India always inspire me.
1. Statement outerwear- Planning on wearing this piece with edgy boots and trousers.
2. Wide leg trousers- Want to wear it in a feminine way.
Mesh dress - Such a show stopper but will need layering.
Ruffles and blush - they are both my favs and i am really excited to style this piece

Edgy booties - Its black and the buckles will add the right amount of edginess to my looks.
I am really excited to style all the pieces and see them living on me. Are you attending any of the fashion weeks? What are your inspirations and favourite pieces?
Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next.

Hey everyone
I guess its human to have a bad day, no matter how well prepared, we still have them so here are 6 easy tips to help you when you are having one of those days
Schedule- Because when you know what you have to do at what time you do more and achieve more. Having a course for your day has direct relation to productivity. Prevention is better than cure.
Me time- If you are having a bad day just take a few mins off, go out in the fresh air stretch or walk around and if you are at home take a bath or go offline relax with a book or tea basically just switch off from what you are doing.
Spend time with family or friends or kids- Sometimes we don’t feel like it but from my personal experience spending time with my loved ones always recharges my batteries. Listening to how our loved ones spent their day or their experiences or stories from the day /days takes my mind off my struggles/ worries.
Nutrients rich food- Try to eat fresh and wholesome food rich in vitamins and anti oxidants to keep your mind and body healthy. I have noticed a direct relation between food and my mood. Too much fried and empty calorie food makes me irritable and sluggish.
Nature- Go to the park or your garden just be alone with nature and you will automatically start to feel better. If working from home try to work from a room with natural light. I can literally not function in a space with no natural light. It depresses me 100%. No matter how dim but still just being able to look at the sky keeps my mind in a much better state. If working from a naturally lit room is not possible go out in the open as often as you can and breathe in the fresh air. Also try walking to you destination or keeping your windows open as much as possible.
Indulge- Its ok to let it go with your favourite desert or reruns of your favourite show!!!
Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone!
If you want to look put together but are short of time or ideas think only one direction, monochrome! It is the sure shot way to look chic and polished without much thought! Don’t worry about trying to get the same shade just keep the hue same. Add to it a contrasting shoe or bag and there you go, well dressed!!!
Something about this blush pink that it has become the go to colour for many and also a very chic colour to wear as mentioned in my valentines day outfit ideas post. According to me the reason could be that it looks good with every colour there is, making it almost a neutral.
What i wore- Knit- Asos, Skirt- Shein , Shoes- Public desire, Bag- VVA, Choker- Asos
Considering the timing of this post, the outfit is great for valentines day, very soft, sweet and romantic. I wore the choker to add a bit of edginess to the look. My Ivy from VVA added the right amount of elegance and the colour was a great contrast.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this pale pink pleated skirt becomes a timeless classic, i mean just imagine the possibilities, the street styles, pinterest and all social media is full of this beautiful skirt styled in every possible way!!!!
