Today we are going to make a serious case for why metallic shoes? In all honesty they deserve it every bit. Metallic shoes are the easiest way to add shine, style and interest to the plainest of outfits. A basic tee and jeans outfit becomes a show stopper with them on. Also the easiest way to add polish to a look, take this one for example. Its quite fun to my taste but the metallic shoes give it the polished formalish touch. They add intrigue. That hot party dress looks even killer with strappy metallic heels. They add fun too. Office clothes a bit playful with metallic pumps. So on and so forth. My life and style is all about ease, balance and simplicity you know min effort, maximum points. I love to make cool a bit hot and hot a bit cool and in those schemes the metallic shoes fit in like a glove.
I wore the gold metallics non stop last year which you loved so this year decided on getting this silver pair from river island. Super comfy and the same brownie points. Going by the trend i will get copper next year!!
If you saw my instagram stories from this day you will remember i called this outfit my fashion week look also in the vlog. There are many elements and a lot of fun cool going, totally made for fashion week. But i was going to be spending my day in Shoredtitch with the cool quirky vibe so it felt just right.
What i wore - Faux fur- Light in the box, Denim- Zara, Knit- NAKD, Shoes- River Island
Do you love metallic shoes. I hope i gave you some good reasons to try them!

What is the deal with sunglasses like seriously. People now wear them day in and day out. Recently Vaibhav was reading newspaper with sunglasses on, dark dark one, dad came and asked do they have power!!!! Literally, dude has his sunnies on like every minute of his awake time. I have to tell him to take his sunglasses off so i can see his eyes. What do you say to that? This post is his account of why he chooses to have them on all the fffffffffff time.
- They are liberating, heres why? They are a non permanent and easy way to look cool and uncool. Put them on you become cool and if you want to go back to your natural state of uncool, just take them off, ability to switch in a second, power!!! You are saying you are naturally uncool, lol!
- They give you choice- With sunglasses on, though you see the world it is completely your choice whether you want to engage with it or no.
- Sunglasses are a shield to your red hungover eyes.
- With sunglasses on you can stare at anyone without them knowing.
- They do tie a look together.
As for me, i only wear sunnies when it is impossible to see in the blinding sunlight on beach holidays. Wow!!!
Thank you for stopping by, see you with my next.

It's given, if I meet you for the first time I am not going to tell you i am a blogger, or anything about my online self. I would mostly say I am on time off or i write for a website or something like that. If at all i do tell you there is no way i am going to share what my blog name or social media handles are unless and until you are a person related to this field or in my opinion have the sensibility to understand it. Why??? Two reasons.
- Even in 2017, well 2018 now, people don't get it. Some are oblivious to the word. Some think it's not really an occupation and only a pastime. It's just free clothes and makeup. A person becomes a blogger for fame and not love for the profession. And a zillion other absurd opinions. Some actually not entirely the persons fault because a lot of girls take to blogging only for the social media fame. But they are not bloggers or content creators. It's also been really hard for me to explain what exactly I do to my extended family and I feel it takes a lot of patience to explain what I do so to just avoid that energy loss I take the easier path.
- If I meet someone for the first time I don't want to tell them about my online self and give access to so much about me. I mean I feel it should be fair you know me as much as I know you but if you have access to my online self you know much more about me than I know about you. Ok even though I am the same person you see and read here on the blog and social media but it's all curated. Real life me even though the same is not exactly the same. Even on instastories that are the closest to what my life is but they are just 1 min from 1440 mins in a day that I chose to share with you. So your judgements about me based on what you see and read on the blog and social media are not going to be right, so why create the confusion. I have also heard from my friends that both sexes decide on whether they want to meet a girl or boy again based on what they see of them on social media. My term for such boys is LAME BOYS and girls is LAME GIRLS. I mean like seriously. A girl i recently met on the train told me ( i like to chat with anyone and everyone and do a bit of a research) that she would not want to be friends with a blogger because if they go somewhere fancy the blogger would ask her to take pictures of herself (lol obviously i hadn't told her i was a blogger)!!!
Basically its all about judging. Some don't know what a blogger means and some who do will stereotype. And some will think they know you in and out just from your online personality. All ridiculous. So let there be a couple of meetings, let there be a fair play before i tell you i am XYZ.
Thank you for stopping by! See you with my next.

I am one for celebrations so i always look forward to festivals and holidays but i realize they can be a hard time for people with any level of grief or sadness. I think all of us have or do just different levels and times. Could be breakup, or death or finance or loneliness or work or any sort of loss. Its not always glittery and sparkly and warm and cheerful. You want to be left alone and all the merry making to not be banged on your face, like literally. The decorations and festive cheer act more as reminders of the grief than anything else. Ah and social media overflowing with warmth to the point of disturbing. I mean the content is just so sickly sweet. And sometimes its nothing specific or wrong but you just want to keep low but the constant reminders 'x no of days left for diwali or christmas or eid' or whatever that is!!! 'have you decided what you are wearing?' 'what are you shopping for xyz blah blah blah', won't leave you. The traditions bite. Consumerism at its peak, i mean people spending more than they would ever earn in the next two months, its ridiculous. And then come the falsehoods of people acting and going far beyond their own happiness, its never 24x7 joy after all.
If you are going through any form of stress and not in the mood do everything to protect yourself. Like staying away from social media or whatever that adds to your stress. Be open just say you are not in the mood or you don't want to. Don't think just because it is some festival you owe it to it or anyone to celebrate or do something.
And for others be mindful of what you are saying, doing and putting up around festivals. Your state of mind and level of well being might not be others so care and be real. Sensitivity to others perspective is also a form of celebration after all!! Includes me, includes all of us.
Thank you for stopping by, see you with my next.

If there was one coat I wanted to get this winter and wear for many winters to come was the teddy coat. You could say it was coming to my wardrobe pretty soon from my winter trend post featuring the teddy bear coat. With a teddy coat on I, don’t have to bother about the layers because it is soooooo warm and cosy also a treat for people I meet and hug. I also love the teddy coat for the fun it brings to winter fashion which tends to be limiting after a while.
Literally spoilt for choice since they are in so many styles, designs and colours at the moment. But the longer style appealed more because I just put it on and don't need anything else and you know I love blush pink, already a statement and top it with the fur texture, cant be any better. It's such a treat to spot someone wearing a blush teddy in a sea of blacks!!!
I wore my teddy bear coat on my frolics around Christmas lit London and not even once I felt even mildly cold. Kept everything simple and went for red over the knee boots to complete the look. white and red a killer combo and a big thumbs to the teddy coat for both practicality and style.
What I wore - Teddy coat - Asos, Boots - River Island

Black vinyl is really a super sleek way to make a stunning statement!! A trench coat is mandatory in London but the usual beige and khaki ones can be boring at times so I was really glad to have found this powerful head turning piece at Asos. I love pieces like this because they are understated yet so impactful and that is exactly what my style is. A plain tee and jeans outfit elevated to the next level with a shiny vinyl trench!!!! Adding gloss to formal wear and working well with evening wear, its really one of those unexpected workhorse pieces. Styling a Vinyl trench is super simple just remember the one rule to not bulk it up.
- Wear with your more feminine pieces to balance the masculinity and edginess of the vinyl. I chose a flare sleeve jumper to soften it.
- Red is a great colour to wear with Vinyl, looks great, photographs great and obviously gives a more romantic touch to the outfit.
- Wear with something polished to add contrast to a wide leg trouser or a formal shirt.
- Vinyl is also a great piece for an all black look. Think textures.
- Play with shoes like me, I went for silver metallic boots and got compliments for the outfit throughout the day!!
I see my black vinyl trench serving me throughout the year, specially with the right layering in spring, autumn, and winter and on my travels.
What I wore - Trench - Asos, Scarf - Asos, Boots - River island, Jumper - Nakd

The secret to dressing up in London during winters / Christmas time is really that one simple thing - LAYERING. And if you plan to be out exploring which you totally should because it is so lovely around Christmas time, even more. Layer as follows, on the upper part of your body- full sleeve cotton tee then a full sleeve thermal then a knit and then a jacket or an overcoat. On the bottom- a thermal/thick tights then trouser or jeans. Sometimes I wear a thermal on top of that tights and then trousers or jeans. Also, make sure your outer layer is waterproof or you have an umbrella with you. Don’t forget to cover your ears with a scarf or a hat. Dress this way and no weather will touch you or take your plan to do what you had planned to do for a toss!!!
I had initially planned to wear a teddy overcoat but I didn’t want to ruin it in the rain so this outfit was actually a second thought but I couldn’t be happier with how put together, chic and interesting it was. That is why I tell you to buy pieces that are harmonious with your wardrobe, you can literally create a zillion outfits in no time. Unpredictable weather situations and impromptu plans don’t cause any stress to you.
It was raining also snowing and of course cold 0 degrees but we were in the open and because we were dressed for the situation the crazy weather had minimum effect on our plans. In fact, there were fewer people because of the situation which is actually a good thing being a blogger/content creator.
What i wore - Trousers, Boots, Jacket - Zara, Jumper - Asos , Earrings - HM, Bag- Vva

No matter how much you love colour, in the colder months, an all black outfit is a practical and functional option that also reflects the mood. It is an easy outfit to do for most of us because we all have that wardrobe staple, the leather jacket. If not please get one. That said all black outfit may sound very easy to put on, but just throwing some black pieces together does not give the chic look. It can be super blah and that is no fun, more so when the weather is grumpy and miserable.
But with a few points to remember you can make your all black outfit fun as ever.
- Focus on the details - Yes just like monochrome, details make all the difference. Like my flared sleeve sweater/ jumper. The embroidery on my jeans. You can look for pieces with sequins, lace, ruffles, unusual cuts and embellishment details to amp up the outfit.
- Texture- The contrast of different fabrics is a great styling trick for an all black look. Faux Leather worn with knit or velvet or satin, you get the drill.
- A pop of colour - helps to break the monotone and adds interest. Like the pop of colour on my jeans here. Accessories are also a great way to add a pop of colour.
- Accessories- They are really the make or break point. Go for statement boots, statement bag, statement jewellery, statement belt. Just remember to balance it out. Not really a great idea to have all the statements together, haha!! I chose statement boots ( golden Chelsea boots) and bag (leopard print ) and kept the jewellery simple ( rose gold hoops).
- Metallics always look great with an all black outfit.
- Layering- Adds interest, this outfit is actually a great example. I am wearing a jumper, on top of it a longline gillet and on top of that a leather jacket.
Are you a fan of all black. Hope this post was helpful.
