No matter where you live and what you do, one item of clothing that will be found in your wardrobe is a pair of denim. For a few years the denim styles had stagnated and the skinny jeans ruled but since last year there have been quite a few ‘fresh trends’ and i have to say that although i was a bit apprehensive at the start i haven’t touched my skinny jeans, with the exception of my white skinny, which is only due to the fact that i only have one white jeans and that happens to be a skinny, for almost a year now! Yes and i loved skinny jeans, just goes to say how great the latest denim trends are. And today i am putting the top jeans trends for 2017.
- The embroidered jeans- i start with the embroidered because i am literally obsessed. Already own 3 pairs!!!! I much prefer flowers and leaves on my jeans than my blouse, and i know lot of you do too. So yes this one is perfect for us and If you are the colorful type go all out and pair it with an embroidered top.
2. Straight leg jeans- This one is closely cut but not snug to your legs. It is also the style that you see all the top bloggers of the world rocking.
3. The step hem jeans- Raw hems that are shorter in the front and longer at the back or shorter in the inner side and longer at the outer. Very fashionable but not fussy and very fresh. Great to show ur fancy footwear and also easy to diy.
4. Two tone denim- The two tones can be either slightly different from each other or majorly different, i prefer the one with slightly different tones and not majorly different as it is more versatile and hence easy to wear.
5. Pearls on denim- Its really huge at the moment, i mean if you are anywhere close to fashion you have this one. Instagram is full of it Thanks to ZARA, ASOS and TOPSHOP.

6. Fringed edges- This one is super easy to diy as well, choose an old pair that you have been done with, watch a couple of youtube videos on how to diy fringed denim, they are super easy to follow and tadaaa.
7. Mom Jeans- Have been around for quite sometime and going strong. Ripped versions of the mom jeans are supper trendy at the moment.

Nice different styles of denim. My fave is the one with the ruffled bottoms. I meant to get a pair just like that. ;)

ReplyDeleteLove all of these styles - I really like skinny jeans on other people but they look horrible on me, so I was super happy when all of these new styles started cropping up everywhere. I have a pair of straight leg, a pair of mom, a pair of frayed hems and a pair of two tone...but I reeeeally want to pick up some embroidered or embellished ones soon, love them! Great post.

ReplyDeleteYes to all of them! I love a good skinny jean, but I also am loving the two tone jeans, raw hem and embroidery trends going on now too! It's fun to change things up with denim!

I love skinny jeans and mom jeans! So comfy and very versatile. Not a fan of embroidery though, I like classic styles better because they stand the test of time. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit inspirations. Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style.
ReplyDeleteI like denim and especially darker jeans. I need to go buy some new ones! Your post has some lovely photos and different styles.
ReplyDeleteFor me being broad and tall it is so difficult finding jeans that suit. I, personally, like the bootleg and straightleg - both with a higher waiste (if I can find it)
ReplyDeleteThere are definitely some interesting trends
ReplyDeleteI love the denim trends of this year!
