Hey everyone!
Camel is said to be one of those colours that makes everything look luxe and made well. I absolutely love it and that explains the two purchases in todays outfit the jeans and the blazer from Zara, if i remember well i also got them together. Ok i love it but its one of those tricky colours that i find hard to style. I try to imagine the various colour possibilities but find myself limited to try them but i promise, that i will gather more courage very soon and rock all the combos i am going to list below.
Some colour combos to try with camel:
1 Camel+ cream
2 Camel+ shades of red like true red and burgundy
3 Camel+ shades of blue like navy, cobalt and pale blue
4 Camel+ neutrals like black and grey
5 Camel+ shades of pink like hot pink and pale pink
6 Camel+ hunter green
As you can see i am rocking the top two colours together in todays outfit cream and red. Ok cream is safe but i get all the points for wearing my red leopard slingbacks.
Draping your blazer or jacket over your shoulder is such a cool styling trick that is actually nothing but gives so much to the look.
I wore this outfit to a restaurant launch, India Bistro in hotel Diplomat, Chanakyapuri. If you are reading this from New Delhi, it is your place to visit asap, if not, whenever u find yourself in New Delhi and want to have the real Indian food, India Bistro is The place. It is authentic Indian food with an inventive touch and the food tasting was one of the best i have been to.
Loved the interesting collection of paintings and the mango basil melody my dear friend, Abhilasha had was yum. I had a soar throat so couldn't relish the drinks but the honey tea they made for me was heaven sent for my throat, think hospitality!!!
The best dish and the must have was the Snow dahi bhalla, (below), even better than the famous one from chandni chowk, the chef also demonstrated how they make it. Loved how they use liquid nitrogen to get all sorts of fun effects.
Must haves moradabadi dal, galouti kebab and ghee roast mutton (in order below)
The pomegranate raita with the biryani was so good, i could have eaten as it is.
Deserts floating in liquid nitrogen!!
Well i am not a food writer but i am a foodie and this place is a foodies paradise both visually and taste wise. I was also very impressed with almost equal number of vegetarian dishes and can't wait to take my mom in law who is a vegetarian soon.
Hope this review is helpful at some point and also the colour combos to try with camel.
Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone! I was huge into gifts till sometime back, and i mean quantity and not so much quality but i realized its much better to give one thoughtful and cherished gift then 10 diff not so thoughtful ones. It can be diff things for different people but one item that would mostly come on top for most is jewellery. Specially for your partner or spouse or beloved. it is something that will last forever like love which is forever.
Talking of jewellery the various options are:
Earrings
The no 1 item for me would be earrings as you all know how much i love wearing them. Be it the statement ones or the minimal studs they can be the ideal gift for a special romantic occasion.
Necklaces and Chains
Necklaces are super romantic and it is so thanks to the movies but nonetheless they are a prized item to receive and the best part is you don’t have to worry much about size.
Lockets
A locket is a type of pendant, but this one opens up to reveal something of sentimental value, such as, an old photograph of family from generations back or loved ones. It usually provides for two photographs and often contains the photograph of the person who bought it and gave it as a gift. A superb idea for a romantic gift is to have you and your partner’s photographs appearing next to each other upon opening it. I just got a heart one!!!!! Lockets are great for men too.
Pendants
Pendants are one of the earliest types of jewellery where rocks and stones were used. Nowadays, pendants contain the most magical and exquisite gems, precious stones and beads and are worn mainly around the neck, known as a “pendant necklace”, and ear, referred to as a “pendant earrings“. Again u don’t have to worry about size when buying.
Rings
Rings are definitely the ultimate symbol of romance and devotion. Also Presented as a promise between partners on wedding occasions, they can be worn on the fingers as well as toes. Rings embody all aspects of romance, and although synonymous with engagements and weddings, they most certainly can be given as gifts on any occasion. Do remember to get the right size.
Bracelets
Bracelets are worn and loved by both men and women. So if you have to pick something for the man in your life make it this. Mostly worn around the wrists but the ankle ones can be a pleasant surprise for women.
One of the finest places to shop jewellery is Simon West Fine Jewellery. Simonwestjewellery.com offers the highest standard of personalized service, very important when shopping for Jewellery.
Today I am sharing this simple and chic everyday outfit in one of many fav color combos navy and black. I can't believe it was considered a fashion faux pas till some time back. If you are still stuck with it encourage you to try navy with black and I promise u will be a convert.
As much as I love the color combo the pairing of bomber jacket with longline top (last seen here) is no less stunning and I think the pointed toe PU oxford (seen here) brings the whole look together.
This is one of those lazy day outfits that is super easy to put on but still gets u compliments. Leggings ( look) with bomber jacket and Pu shoes, practical but put together.
ok a bit of a show off now!!!
What i wore- Bomber- Topshop, Jeggings-Boohoo, top- Boohoo, Shoes- Asos, watch- daniel wellington
With holidays coming and many weddings and anniversaries also falling around this time i hope the jewellery info was helpful and the outfit an easy inspiration for everyday.
Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone!
Nature has played a vital role in the creative expression of mankind. The land, water, animals, trees, sky we see around us are a part of our subconscious, they reflect in our art and so become a part of our culture and identity. I am deeply inspired by nature and i need a lot of it in my life to maintain my balance. And that explains my love for Good Earth, an everyday luxury Indian brand with a design aesthetic inspired by nature and indian heritage.
Good earth collaborated with Rohit Bal, pioneers of indian fashion, for a capsule collection called Husn-e-Taairaat meaning beauty of a bird. The collection consists of home, decor and apparel and is a beautiful ode to birds and flowers with the flamboyance of mughal and persian architecture.
I had the opportunity to attend the collection launch organized by LBB. The whole decor and setup did full justice to the mood of the collection and trust me guys if i had the money i would have taken everything home!!!!!!!!
You can shop the collection is stores as well as online.
Yummies at the launch
And this is what i wore to the event, slip dress from last year (removed the fringes for 2016) over ruffled jumper (so good for layering) with my fuzzy slides and fishnet socks. Super trendy and fresh outfit with the pieces existing in my wardrobe just worn differently!
I am seriously obsessing over these fishnet socks, can't wait to style them more and these mules i never want to take off!
Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone! When it comes to jewellery i have come to the conclusion that i am a silver person. I think my complexion is neutral tone but off late i gravitate more towards silver than gold and i also much prefer silver hardware on clothes, bags and shoes except when i wear indian outfits and If you too love silver then this post is worth a read.
What i wore- Top, Skirt, Bag, Hat- Zara Shoes- Topshop, Watch- Daniel Wellington, Silver Jewellery
Silver has been quite popular since ancient times, the lustrous colour, shine and serviceability in creating useful tools, ornaments and accessories are a few reasons for silver’s continued and steady popularity.
Lets go back in time and learn more- In ancient times silver was ‘officially’ recognized as a means of value exchange or token of honour, success and admiration (as well as love) as far back as 3100 B.C of recorded history.
Cretian ambassadors presented Egyptian rulers with beautiful gifts of silver vases.
About the adage “born with a silver spoon in their mouth” - Most people assume it is a British expression used to describe the British aristocracy. But interestingly enough, it has been noted (but contested) that it was actually first cited in 1801 as an adage or expression in the United States of America referring to how most lawyers were born into money.
Some researchers have noted that the expression was actually used in a 1719 translation (Spanish to English) of Don Miguel Cervantes’ novel Don Quixote. Still others advocate for the expressions appearance in a book of Scottish proverbs.
The expression’s origins may go far back to medieval times, when spoons were made of wood. It still remains a tradition for affluent godparents to bestow a silver spoon to their godchildren during christenings.
Silver spoons were also used historically, to detect poison. Specifically in the Korean Joseon Dynasty where kings were polygamists and their wives fought for whose son would inherit the throne and succeed in the monarchical tradition. Since silver is very reactive when it comes in contact with sulphur (found in arsenics), and tarnish, it was a way to detect poison (and frankly, a much better way than have a “royal taste tester” drop dead after sampling the king’s food).
Why it is popular- Silver has maintained its popular allure because it is affordable and malleable, it can easily be shaped into many useful, practical items, as well as adornments. Craftsmen too find it inspiring because it lets them be creative and innovative. I particularly love silver because it can be dressed up or down, it can be worn at a wedding or to a sporting event. Silver, unlike gold, complements all skin tones; it’s more reasonably priced than gold. Some people like the aspect that you can buy several pieces of silver jewellery for one piece of gold (and that gold just may be in the shade of yellow that is not flattering on some people). Silver also blends beautifully with just about any gemstone and It’s no surprise that designers and craftsmen love working with this element and most of us are just in search of the finest silver jewellery collection
How it is used - Because pure silver is too malleable on its own, sterling silver is marked with the addition of 7.5% copper to harden the metal so jewellery (and other) creations can be long lasting.
How to care- silver is easy to care for and can be worn daily. Store it in a special no-tarnish cloth or bag. This means never store your pieces in paper towels or tissue paper because they can scratch your precious jewellery. Clean it with soap or toothpaste, rinse well and dry carefully with a soft cloth.
What i wore- Top, Skirt, Bag, Hat- Zara Shoes- Topshop, Watch- Daniel Wellington, Silver Jewellery
These pictures are from my trip to Munich in July this year. A breezy and comfy outfit for exploring the city in one of my fav color combinations grey and white, the cool color palette is my jam and silver goes great with it.
Would love to know whether you are a gold or silver person and if you know anything interesting about the metal, please share in the comments below.
