How to wear gingham, its actually easy and versatile

Gingham is the print of the year, actually it has been trending for 2 years now but this year its blown to magnificent proportions. I cannot be happier because i love it a lot and can’t stop myself from adding more and more pieces into my wardrobe. The stores are full of it and i can also see it on the streets in force, just the other day i was at Toni & Guy vasant vihar for the canaan mineral meni pedi and the the lovely girl at the front desk was wearing a very pretty gingham blouse with a pencil skirt and i was very happy to see that. So that brings me to the point i want to make i.e Gingham is not a restrictive print it works very well from casual to formal looks and from feminine to cool looks. You have already seen me wear this skirt in this all gingham outfit for a more formal and feminine look and today i am rocking it in a super casual cool attire.

Some might find Gingham a little intimidating or school girl type or tame but my lovely you need not be because it is very fun.

  1. For beginners just pair a gingham blouse with your skinny jeans and you are already fab.
  2. Choose pieces with more details like ruffles, frills, embroidery, origami etc to make it more 2017.
  3. Since the print is so out there keep your hair natural and accessories minimum.
  4. Pair your gingham blouse with tailored trousers for a more sleek look.
  5. A gingham skirt with a white tee (also black)  is a combination for the win.
  6. Gingham dress with strappy black heels will be evening appropriate.
  7. Black and white gingham is more wearable but do not be afraid from trying the zillion colours i specially recommend blue and pink.

What i wore- Tee- ASOS, Skirt- Zara, Bag- VVA, Slides- ASOS

The possibilities are actually endless and i will very soon show you an edgy gingham outfit.

Rocking my VVA again sans the handle because the new way to carry your handbag, no matter how big, is either on your hands or under your arms and the super versatile VVA always delivers.

Thank you for stopping by! See you with my next.

Love
Chichi

  19. A gingham piece can look very chic and sexy depending on the style itself. For example, I saw someone wearing an off the shoulder gingham top on instagram and she looked absolutely chic and sexy. She paired it with a black skirt. I would definitely wear a gingham piece whether it be a top, pants, dress or a skirt as long as the style perfectly fits my body shape. ;)
