Hey everyone!

As the weather changes we all get excited about new clothes and shopping. Be it hot weather or cold weather, after a point we do get bored of the clothes and styles. At least, I do so i thought of putting together must haves for the transitional period and beyond.

Denim- Bottoms we all need for the chill, consider getting frayed or embroidered in straight or flared styles.

Plaid- This one is a classic and will always be in fashion. Plaid tops to plaid dresses to scarfs, all scream autumn/ fall.

1) dress, 2) shirt, 3) scarf, 4) vest

Velvet- the fabric of the season, for everything

Long sleeve dresses- When there is just a bit of chill long sleeve dresses with boots or closed shoes are perfect.

statement jacket- Breathe in a new lease into your old outfits just by wearing with a statement jacket.

Bomber jacket- Everywhere, literally!! So get one if still haven’t!

Jumpers/ Sweaters- Try fun variations this year with choker neck or bell sleeves or off shoulder in hot colors pink or yellow.

loafers- These are the shoes to wear and sooooooo comfy.

All the items listed are from Zaful, an online site for trendy and affordable clothes and accessories. They deliver worldwide and the delivery is quite fast as compared to other similar sites, delivered in about 10 days, the product quality is good, (from my experience) for the price but remember to check the size description as it varies from item to item and also see the pictures of other people wearing the items so to have better understanding of the look and fit.

Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Hey everyone!

This is my final outfit from LFW s/s 17. Dress over trousers, you guys know i am a huge fan of this styling technique. Lets put down why

  1. Take clothes from one season to another. i.e ur dresses that you would otherwise have to store away can be worn with pants when colder weather comes.
  2. If we can wear our clothes different ways we can wear them more often and thus reduce the cost of buying.
  3. When their is a chill in the air it is a very sensible decision.
  4. It is one fresh and super stylish outfit that requires no investment. We all have dresses and we all have jeans/ trousers, we just put them together.
  5. Right now it is trendier to wear dresses with pants than leggings.
  6. In case you haven’t got ur legs waxed or haven’t shaved but still want to wear a dress, wear it with pants, hahahahaha!!! I do this many many times.

I chose my raw edge skinnies this day but you can easily choose straight leg or fringed or wide leg their is no limitation.

What i wore- Dress- EAST, Bag- EAST, Jeans- Mango, Shoes- Zaful, Ring- Mejuri, Earrings- River Island

London fashion week couldnt be over without wearing one of my most loved brands East.  Read more in this post, why. Infact i waited for the dress and bag, part of the their new autumn winter collection to be available online so i could share with u.
This beautiful Kilm print dress is a real stunner, so many people stopped to ask me where i got it from!!! The colour combination dull blue (if you have a better name for this blue please tell me!) with burgundy is perfect for a/w, and the subtle embroidery couldn’t be more beautiful. Also the fabric is so soft on the skin, i could have easily slept in.

Open toe shoes are another of my fav, they just add a lot of interest and these metallic borogues add edge & shine to this boho dress.

Love how the ring design matches with the earrings, totally unplanned!!!

Denim jackets just like leather jackets are always handy for easy layering. I am also thinking this dress will be sooooooo gorgeous and different for the festive season, can't wait to wear again.

What i wore- Dress- EAST, Bag- EAST, Jeans- Mango, Shoes- Zaful, Ring- Mejuri, Earrings- River Island

Hey everyone!

Off shoulder tops have been the hottest trend of spring summer and all of us probably have a couple styles in our closet. With colder weather upon us or soon upon us i have been thinking of ways to style them so i could wear them in autumn as well. Because of the exposed shoulder i find them great for layering and here are some ways you can rock them in autumn/fall:

  1. Wear them under gilet/vests like in todays outfit. So to give an impression of a cutout shoulder.
  2. Wearing them over sleeveless turtle neck will give the same look.
  3. Wear a denim shirt or a white shirt underneath or even a plaid shirt to mix prints or channel the fall vibe.
  4. Wrap a scarf around your neck and u can have all the warmth.
  5. Wear ones in darker color on their own when u want it to be autumn/ fall weather but it is nowhere in sight!!!

    What i wore- Topgiletjeansearringsshoes

This off shoulder number with bell sleeves, two trends in one, is from Rosegal and so are the heels. They are super inexpensive and great quality for their price.
Rosegal has so many trendy items at very reasonable price and their delivery is fairly good. Delivered in about 7-10 days. These two items were true to size but i would still say its safer to read the size description before ordering.
I was also quite impressed by their vintage pieces and hair accessories

I have been fan of these edgy mule style shoes for quite sometime, glad i finally got them.

What i wore- Top, gilet, jeans, earrings, shoes

Something about monochromatic clean outfits, all white is literally my fav one colour look and i love the classic contrast of black shoes and accessories with it (proof  proof) The unexpected pairing of a formal double breasted gilet/ vest with a boho fun off shoulder lacey top makes this look very interesting and engaging to the senses.

Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

Silver has been quite popular since ancient times, the lustrous colour, shine and serviceability in creating useful tools, ornaments and accessories are a few reasons for silver’s continued and steady popularity

Lets go back in time and learn more- In ancient times silver was ‘officially’ recognized as a means of value exchange or token of honour, success and admiration (as well as love) as far back as 3100 B.C of recorded history.
Cretian ambassadors presented Egyptian rulers with beautiful gifts of silver vases.

About the adage “born with a silver spoon in their mouth” - Most people assume it is a British expression used to describe the British aristocracy. But interestingly enough, it has been noted (but contested) that it was actually first cited in 1801 as an adage or expression in the United States of America referring to how most lawyers were born into money.
Some researchers have noted that the expression was actually used in a 1719 translation (Spanish to English) of Don Miguel Cervantes’ novel Don Quixote. Still others advocate for the expressions appearance in a book of Scottish proverbs.
The expression’s origins may go far back to medieval times, when spoons were made of wood. It still remains a tradition for affluent godparents to bestow a silver spoon to their godchildren during christenings.
Silver spoons were also used historically, to detect poison. Specifically in the Korean Joseon Dynasty where kings were polygamists and their wives fought for whose son would inherit the throne and succeed in the monarchical tradition. Since silver is very reactive when it comes in contact with sulphur (found in arsenics), and tarnish, it was a way to detect poison (and frankly, a much better way than have a “royal taste tester” drop dead after sampling the king’s food).

Why it is popular- Silver has maintained its popular allure because it is affordable and malleable, it can easily be shaped into many useful, practical items, as well as adornments. Craftsmen too find it inspiring because it lets them be creative and innovative. I particularly love silver because it can be dressed up or down, it can be worn at a wedding or to a sporting event. Silver, unlike gold, complements all skin tones; it’s more reasonably priced than gold. Some people like the aspect that you can buy several pieces of silver jewellery for one piece of gold (and that gold just may be in the shade of yellow that is not flattering on some people). Silver also blends beautifully with just about any gemstone and It’s no surprise that designers and craftsmen love working with this element and most of us are just in search of the finest silver jewellery collection

How it is used - Because pure silver is too malleable on its own, sterling silver is marked with the addition of 7.5% copper to harden the metal so jewellery (and other) creations can be long lasting.

How to care- silver is easy to care for and can be worn daily. Store it in a special no-tarnish cloth or bag. This means never store your pieces in paper towels or tissue paper because they can scratch your precious jewellery. Clean it with soap or toothpaste, rinse well and dry carefully with a soft cloth.
