Varanasi the spiritual capital of India, a travel guide

It sounds quite intimidating to write a travel guide for the spiritual capital of India but nonetheless here it is. But before i start let me put some perspective, India is for experience, pictures, texts and videos don’t do justice to it. And Varanasi is the epitome of that.  As i always say it is the people that make a place and imagine the energy of a city where people come for salvation, meditation and enlightenment.

  2. I had no idea that Varanasi had one of the oldest crematoriums in the world or that it is one of the oldest cities either. It is little wonder therefore that it is widely regarded as a cultural centre of learning but also as a spiritual area where the veil between the living and dead is thinly concealed. Oh and of course you know I love my chai so I would love to sample real Asian Chai and Lassi. And of course chaat too.

  9. India has so much old world charm and mystique. The photos are amazing! I'm not sure I would ever visit, just because it all looks so crowded and overwhelming. I'm a country girl, born and raised in New Hampshire and now living in Maine, USA. I've never been a fan of cities and crowds, yet the culture is fascinating.
