Traditional Indian wedding outfit in trending yellow and pink

This is me in my most traditional form, i think indian clothes completely change me, do you agree? But let me tell you i feel the most beautiful in indian clothes, traditional indian clothes, not a fan of fusion much. The colours, the embroidery and the richness of the fabrics is just beyond gorgeous and make me feel like a princess or something.

I wore this lehnga for Vaibhav’s cousins wedding in Amritsar, Punjab, India in December last year. Amritsar in december is divine, the weather is perfect, the food, which in my opinion is the best in India, tastes even better and if you can be there for a punjabi wedding nothing like it. Those of you who follow me on instagram can recollect from the instagram stories i did while in the city.

What i wore-  MISSDESICOUTURE

Now back to the outfit, it has been designed by our very talented UK designer, Tracy from MISSDESICOUTURE. Working with her was magic, she would almost always say what i was about to, which i think is because of her great understanding about indian fabrics, cuts and embroidery.
For weddings and indian ceremonies, i mostly try to wear traditional as also mentioned in my diwali post and i absolutely love Benarsi silk and mirror work which is also quite trending at the moment. Speaking of trends yellow and pink are hot too so i decided on those two colours. The hot pink gold detailing fabric of the lehnga was so rich and gorgeous that no embroidery was needed on it and i just got some mirror work on the top to balance the whole outfit and keep it stunningly and elegantly beautiful for the wedding.

What i wore-  MISSDESICOUTURE

I mostly like to keep jewellery minimum when wearing such vibrant clothes and earrings are always my preferred jewellery to wear. Here i wore kundan earrings keeping the occasion in mind.

Do check out Tracy for any custom made indian wear needs for any occasion, she delivers worldwide. Would love to know ur thoughts on this special outfit. Also do you remember this new year party outfit post, where i wore the yellow top in a completely different way?

Thank you for stopping by! See you in my next one.

  5. You look stunning! I can also say that I feel the most beautiful when wearing Indian clothes, what I do many times a month - but I have to do fusion, because people tend to stare at me and I feel uncomfortable then. I love lehngas and yellow and pink as well, and mirror work I am craaaazy about for ages! I will keep that in mind, that December is a good month to visit Amritsar, but unfortunately my Indian friend is already married and so I have no wedding to go there - but that would be my dream :( Hope you have a lovely Saturday!

  23. I had never been that website before. I may have to save up first, but their style is right up my alley. I love the idea of customizing it also. You are right about the fuchsia. It is so pretty! White and pale blue are my two favorites. Techlazy.com Howmate.com Crazyask.com
