Hey friends! London is always a good idea, I spent 6 days in the big city in mid june. As much as i wanted to wear cute shorts or summer dresses i also wanted to be realistic and practical with the weather situation, which was mostly between 15-20 degrees with strong wind. Hello, my beautiful friends! Let me treat u with some flowers today.
If u have read my previous posts u will know of my love for flowers. They always bring me joy and positive energy. There was a time when most of my clothes had some sort of floral detailing. Hard to believe, but its true. I had to try hard to control my floral obsession and thankfully its balanced now.
Anyway, i still love to wear florals and this top is probably the most vibrant one that i own. Bright red with white flowers. Red and white, the most electrifying and classic combination in a chic peplum form with a fun heart cut out at the back. Can it get better than that? Guess not!!!!!!
The feminine peplum worn with the boyish culottes is an exhibition of style and engrosses the visual sense. And who says culottes can't work for formal occasions. Pair them with more formal pieces and silhouettes and they work, as well. So make ur clothes work double duty and see ur options multiply manifolds.
These white flowers with the green leaves and stem were the best accessory for this look.

A floral treat
Hello, my beautiful friends! Let me treat u with some flowers today.

Bringing to u a look in a color most people dread! Yellow!!!! This look is proof that yellow does not make u look mellow or fat or whatever.... On the contrary it can make u look happy , fun, vibrant and youthful. And on my skin tone it can't get better.
One of my important consideration while shopping is to buy clothes which work in multiple ways and occasions and this swing dress is a great example of that. Paired with converse shoes it looks super cool but it will also look as good with heels. In fact you can just add a pair of heels to this look and be good for any formal event.
The swing dress has a great fit. Very figure flattering.
Converse shoes make the look relaxed and are more suited and practical for day outs. You can walk a lot, at ease or indulge in a bit of adventure, like me, climbing this mountain like patch for these pictures.
The straw clutch speaks of summer and breezy evenings. A perfect accessory to ur summer clothes.
Since the dress is a solid one and i was wearing converse, I wore this beautiful neon pink earrings to bring some bling and femineity. Love how they match my lips and compliment my braided head band.
I wore this look past Funday a.k.a Sunday to watch spy and then the wimbledon finals. Sadly, Federer lost but thank god i was in this happy color looking and feeling fabulousssssss!!!!!!!!

Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth
I have constantly struggled with the battle between speaking the truth and giving to the pressures of pleasing or avoiding trouble. This new year one of the primary resolutions i made was to be more strong and be with the truth even if it meant being less popular or even isolated from certain people or groups. Halfway down the year i feel the tradeoff is, worth it. Looking at myself in the mirror, I see a face without a cloak and seeing that liberates me in ways i could have never imagined. I feel more positive, more confident and above all more brave.
My other primary resolutions were to be less judgmental and to stop procrastinating. I am working on both and hope to be satisfied by year end.
Todays outfit is a 70s show. And i love it to death. Flared pants with a bodysuit embody the carefree and anti conformist approach to fashion. The goddess hair is the perfect accessory to such a look.

Reviewing resolutions and riding the 70s

Hey everyone! How's the week coming along? I find myself mostly adjusting to the heat wave and dreaming of rain and cool breeze.
I wore this outfit last Sunday for the first back to back movie watching of my life. Watched 3, no actually 2.5, movies. 2 at the cinema hall and half at home. Movie no 1, Chef, started at around 11 am but got interrupted by some household chores. It was funny and engrossing and i am going to watch it again this weekend. Movie no 2, Entourage, started at 2.30. Thoroughly enjoyable whether u have or have not watched the tv series. In fact we missed the first 10 mins but could catch up. Movie no 3, Dil Dhadakne do, started at 7.30. Watched it for the 2nd time and it was fine. Few scenes were rather funny! Quite a Sunday! I also had some great food and great company! All in all a great day with the people i love.
The outfit is casual, comfortable and chic. For spending long days out at the mall or around the city, sandals are my friend and these gladiator sandals are such a standout. They will transform all ur summer looks into super fashionable. I have been inching to buy gladiator sandals for as long as i can remember and after finding these, i feel, it was worth. Love the suede and the small golden heel and this color of brown is my fav for shoes as it goes with almost all colors. The best part is the height of the shoe. The ankle length is so versatile, goes with jeans, dresses, shorts, everything.....
Summer and color pants go together. And sunny yellow is very eye catching so i thought of doing a button up shirt. This cut sleeve denim shirt was perfect to keep it casual as well as balanced.
Did u guys notice my blue mascara? I bought it thinking it was black but on opening found out it was blue. I dint know what ill do but my bro and sis encouraged me to try and i love it!!!!!!!
