How to choose your wedding planner

Marriage is fixed in heaven they say, I believe too. An event that paints the beauty of contrasts like none other. Beautiful memories created out of massive stress that lead to the day. Deciding the venue, budget, invitations, vendors, caterers, florists, ceremonial planning and execution to name a few stress points out of the mile long list of things to do.

Luckily now with the digital and cultural evolution there are number of wedding management platforms emerging and flourishing to turn the lifetime dream into unsurpassed moments. A great one is Cherished Memories, a Delhi based luxury lifestyle Management and events company creating seamless and soulful experiences for couples with their credible team of planners with brilliant managerial skills but with an ethnic approach. I believe, to make up to a spectacular nuptial affair it takes an expert who can painstakingly understand a couple’s uniqueness in terms of style, hope and vision and then make it reflect in the actual event and the team at Cherished Memories delivers just that.

With a management company in tow all your wedding stress is gone and you can focus on choosing ur trousseau or looking your best and above all the days leading to the beautiful day can be beautiful as well.  I am also putting down a few points you must keep in mind when choosing a management company/ wedding planner

1.  Browse over their online and offline profile. Pictures talk a lot and a digital profile will help you have a vibe whether to connect or not.
2. Read and research about the venues they have been associated with.
3. Do not skip the testimonials.
4. How well does your budget and expectations sync is entirely based on clarity of conversations. After all accommodation of your vision is what you are paying for!
5. Scan the catalogue of services they offer.
6. Transparency in monetization clauses and vendors’ dealings is a must.
7. How many other clients they would be working with while working with you?
8. Last moment shoutouts need to be cop up with immense flexibility and patience. Make sure they do not underestimate the power of a difficult family member.
9. It’s a team game! Ensure the team is familiar with you on a comfortable note.
10. ‘Plan B must be thought before Plan A’ such should be the resourcefulness.

Also check on what you can compromise on. Say he is great with creativity, guest management, reliability, resources but little unorganized or may be bit unpunctual. What now? So do not forget to discover the slice of compromise you can afford for yourself otherwise it may end you up with last moment stress. And once tested, shrug off all your tensions over his shoulder, trust him to bring alive what you have been dreaming ever since.

Are you getting married? Is someone in your family? I hope this post is helpful, thank you for stopping by, see you with my next.

  4. Thanks for these useful tips Chichi!
In my opinion, one thing that companies should pay attention to is their online testimonials. In many cases I've not chosen a services company (restaurant, hotel, etc.) because they had all positive reviews and JUST ONE negative that ruined it all.

    Have a great weekend,

  6. Wonderful tips! I actually didn't have a wedding planner when I got married. I did most of the planning together with my mom, family and husband. :)
